Darkstalkers Rise of the Dark Ones

Darkstalkers Volume 1: Rise of the Dark Ones Cover

Between 2004 and 2005, UDON Entertainment released a six issue series of comics titled, Darkstalkers, based on Capcom's fighting game series of the same name. The series was originally released through Devil's Due Publishing. Each of the comics featured a comedic one page mini story. Later in 2005, UDON released a trade paperback titled, Darkstalkers: Rise of the Dark Ones, which featured all six issues as well as the short comic, featuring Morrigan Aensland, that was originally released in UDON's Capcom Summer Special 2004.

Publisher synopsisEdit

"In Darkstalkers, the fate of the world seems to have taken a bleak and ominous turn. Slowly, but steadily, increasing numbers of supernatural, inhuman creatures have inexplicably begun to walk the Earth. Coming in numerous shapes and sizes — as vampires, werewolves, zombies and ghosts — these beings that have brought fear to the night have come to be known by one name: The Darkstalkers. Some Darkstalkers prey on humans, while others try to live in peace with them. Still, others are too busy fighting amongst themselves to even care what humans do."
