Vampire: Darkstalkers Collection is an accumulation of 5 different arcade titles from Capcom's Darkstalkers series. Released in Japan in 2005 for the Playstation 2, the game has been released two additional times with one release being a bundle with Street Fighter II: Anniversary Edition. The game also includes several "Arranged" versions of its original games that include the new character, Dee.

The compilation has yet to be released outside of Japan. It was announced in 2012 that Capcom would be releasing Darkstalkers Resurrection, Derek Neil who is producer on Resurrection stated the game would be using modified versions of Vampire Hunter: Darkstalkers' Revenge and Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire from the PS2 collection.

Vampire: Darkstalkers Collection included the first three entries to the Darkstalkers series, Vampire: The Night Warriors (Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors in the west), Vampire Hunter: Darkstalkers' Revenge (Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge in the west) and Vampire Savior. The two upgraded titles, Vampire Hunter 2 and Vampire Savior 2 are also included. All the games include an arcade, versus, training and option modes. When conditions are met, alternate or arranged versions of Vampire Savior, Vampire Hunter 2 and Vampire Savior 2 can be unlocked. In the arranged versions the console exclusive characters become playable along with the new character Dee. An "Art Gallery" mode allows players to unlock 192 illustrations featuring characters and concept artwork.

ReleasesEdit

Originally released May 5th of 2005, a cheaper, Capcom Collection, or KapuKore version was made available the following year around Christmas. Finally in 2008, Capcom bundle the game in "Value Bundle" along side Street Fighter: The Anniversary Edition. Early editions of the bundle included a special DVD that featured the endings for Street Fighter II and Darkstalkers arcade releases.
